Coursework
The Doctor of Philosophy degree includes core courses and specialization courses. Core courses develop core competencies in research and teaching. Specialization courses allow students to develop an individualized plan of study across the following specializations:
Applied Behavior Analysis
Gifted & Talented
Quantitative Methods
Special Education
In some cases, courses may be transferred upon petition approval. Course transfer petitions must be supported by the student’s faculty mentor, the student’s academic advisor, the Graduate Program Director, and the Baylor University Graduate School. In order to be considered for transfer, a course must be completed within the previous five years of being admitted into the doctoral program. Course transfer requests will only be considered for enrolled students.
